The 2012 Turbotax Federal Free Edition is designed for people who do not need much guidance when preparing their taxes. Regardless of income level, TurboTax Free Edition is the simplest way to prepare your Federal Taxes at no cost.
Keep in mind that the Turbotax Free Edition only covers personal Federal returns. Free Edition doesn’t cover tax schedules C, D, E, and F (required for people who own a business or have sold investments). If you need these schedules, you will have to choose one of the paid options. Click Here
I personally love the Federal Free Edition provides by TurboTax because it saves me the hassel of hiring a personal tax planner which can run upwards of $200-500 dollars per filing. I use this online software every year to file my federal returns and it has never let me down. Simply file, submit, and a couple weeks later my check is deposited into my bank account. Very easy and painless process. I would highly recommend the free version of TurboTax to file your taxes for the 2012 income tax season.
I did a quick video walkthrough of the 2012 Turbotax online software offering. Its a basic overview video for new users. I will certainly get into more advanced topics as tax season moves closer, but I shot this unedited video the other day and thought I would post it up. Enjoy
